MARGARET GAILLOUR Was born February 21, 1929, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2011, after her long battle with MS. Margaret was born in Vaughn, NM and lived in Las Vegas, NM until 1961 when the family moved to Albuquerque. Margaret is survived by her beloved husband David Martinez and her daughters Cynthia Kozlowski, Irene Montoya and her husband Don, Julie Martinez, Juanita Kilijanski and her husband Mark, and Elizabeth Martinez. Margaret leaves behind her grandchildren Katherine Schafer and her husband Brad, David John Martinez and his wife Dacia, Stephen Kozlowski, Stephen Edmiston and his wife Tanya, Daniel Martinez and his wife Michelle, Valerie Kozlowski, Aliesia McCoy and her husband Brian, Andres Montoya and his wife Sarah, and Amanda Martinez. Her loving family also includes eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Margaret was the fifth child in a family of eight and leaves behind her siblings Marie Galindre, John Gaillour and Anne Rogers. Margaret was a devout Catholic and a woman of strong faith. Sunday, she was greeted at the gates of heaven by her parents John and Louisa Gaillour; her sisters Lucy and Emily; and her brothers Reynald and Michael. Margaret was well-known for her outstanding work in the service industry due to an amazing work ethic, charasmatic personality, meticulous dress and her flaming red hair. However, she will mostly be remembered because she lived for her family. After being diagnosed at the age of 37 with MS, she never stopped overcoming her limitations to attend every big event that occurred over the years from weddings, births, graduations and even some the funerals of her family and friends. Margaret, "Fevere", Mom, Grandma...you will be deeply missed! Rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 27th, 7:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 28th,2011, 9:00 a.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Reception to follow at parish hall.
