Obituary for GARCIA

LEOPOLDO "POLO" 85, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 20, 2011. He was predeceased by his sisters: Floriana Salas and Monica Garcia; and brother, Euseibio Garcia. Mr. Garcia is survived by his sons: Morris (Rose) Garcia, Jose (Brenda) Garcia; daughter: Juanita (Robert) Maestas; and stepdaughters: Betty and Alice Anaya; stepson, Abel Moreno; niece: Maria (Armando) Bencomo; many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Polo was a life-long resident of Albuquerque, was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW. He liked the Miami Dolphins and the LA Dodgers and was a retired foreman at Sears. He will be greatly missed. Polo's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday in the Reflection of Life Chapel (Washington and Cutler NE) from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at the Duranes Mission (2110 Las Luceros NW 87104) also on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juanito Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Domonique Olivas, Josh Garcia, Eric Garcia, and Pino Maestas. Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Garcia and Angelo Maestas.
