Throughout her life she loved sports, fishing, sewing, and gardening and was always looking for a challenging project. Buck and Nellie came to Albuquerque from Matador, Texas in 1954 where they made their home. Nellie was a woman of many talents and master of them all. She loved to work and stay busy.
