Obituary for TUFFS

FRANK J. A private graveside service for Frank J. Tuffs of Roswell will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Age 91, of Roswell passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Roswell. Frank was born July 6, 1920 in Deer Creek, Minnesota to Frank Monroe and Helen (Packard) Tuffs. He married Martha Randall on September 4, 1954. He served in the Air Force and went to work for Sandia National Laboratories for 24 years until he retired. Frank lived in Albuquerque before moving to Roswell. In Albuquerque, he was a Deacon and Elder at First Presbyterian Church where he had been a 50 year member. Frank was a very skilled woodcarver and talented furniture builder. He made beautiful stained glass windows and lamps, and loved to fish. Frank was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. Those left to cherish his memory is wife, Martha of the home; daughters, Lori Martinez and husband Dr. Reynaldo Martinez of Roswell and Pamela Brown of Albuquerque; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is sister, Corrine Tuffs and brothers, James Tuffs, Richard Tuffs, and Lawrence Tuffs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Frank's honor to First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
