ERNEST EUGENE "BO" CLOUD EAGLE IN MEMORY OF Born: Feb. 29, 1960 "Leap Year Baby" Passed: Oct. 13, 2011 Of Nambe Pueblo passed away on October 13, 2011. He was 51 years old and was a leap year child with his birthday being the special day of Feb 29, 1960, and being born a leap year baby, Bo was actually 12 years old. Something that always made him laugh). Bo, a life time member of Nambe Pueblo, was dedicated to his people and his beliefs; by being a spiritual leader he was very involved in his traditions. He attended Pojoaque High School and graduated from Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Bo received his Associate degree in Fine Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, NM. Bo was preceded in death by his mother Nellie Montoya-Mirabal of Ohkay Owingeh (formerly known as San Juan Pueblo). Bo is survived by his father, Ernest Mirabal, Governor of Nambe Pueblo, (wife Constance B. Mirabal, step-children and family); sons, Natanni Mirabal and Llewyn Platero; daughters, Paige and Nakiva; granddaughther, Jaylina Rain Loretto; grandsons, Joshua Ernest and Llewyn Platero Jr; sisters, Doreen Mirabal, Michelle Mirabal, and Anna Mirabal-LeJeune (husband Michael LeJeune); newphews, Wankaa Mirabal, Luke LeJeune and Red Hawk Mirabal; niece, Poekwi Mirabal; and many other relatives. Cloud Eagle (Bo) was a world renowned artist, sculptor, painter, multi-dimensional artist. He had many friends throughout the world, was respected and well-liked by everyone. His smile and laughter will be greatly missed all who knew him. Funeral Mass and Burial will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 9:00 am at the St Francis of Assisi Church in Nambe Pueblo.
