Obituary for BECKHOFF

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday October 13, 2011

CAROLE Age 70, moved from Chicago to Albuquerque, her Land of Enchantment in 1999, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 with her loved ones by her side. She is survived by her loving spouse, Harry Beckhoff of Albuquerque, NM, and her sons, Jeffrey and Matthew, and sister, Debbie; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carole was an active member of Congregation Albert, serving on many boards and committees. Her love for animals led her to volunteer at the Eastside Animal Shelter where she eventually rescued three beloved pets and rescued a fourth pet from Animal Humane. Her great love for humanity led her to establish the Carole Beckhoff Fund, an endowment fund for the burial of indigent Jews to provide for a dignified Jewish funeral for those who could not afford it, within the state of New Mexico. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011, 11:30 a.m., at Congregation Albert's Cemetery (Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery), with Rabbi Harry Rosenfeld officiating. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Carole Beckhoff Fund at JCEF, Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd., Alb., NM 87110, or to their favorite charity.
