MARY ALICE Passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011. Born Mary Alice Sanchez to Jose De La Luz and Mary M. Sanchez. Mary Alice is survived by husband Crespin G. Luna and parents-in-law Jacinto and Refugia Soria of Needles, CA. She was preceded in death by her son Louie L. Luna; brothers Myron and wife, Eleanor and Adelbert Sanchez; niece Loretta, daughter of Rudy and Elma Sanchez. As a young woman she worked for the Marine City Ship yards in Salsalito, CA. She was also a Harvy Girl in Barstow and Needles, CA. She enjoyed line dancing at Los Volcanes Senior Center and enjoyed trips to Laughlin, NV. She is survived by her brothers Rudy and wife, Elma, Lawrence, Gilbert and wife, Gloria; one sister, Viola and husband, John. Alice is also survived by many nephews and nieces from her siblings and husbands family in Yuma, AZ, Barstow, Needles, San Bernardino, Corona, greater Los Angeles area, CA and state of Washington. Good family friends Dawn Tredway, Anne Ferry and husband, Jim, beloved children Tyler and Ashley Brand and pre-deceased Amanda Brand. Private Viewing for family will be Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. with Viewing for friends at 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW., Albuquerque. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, Albuquerque. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, intersection of Wyoming Blvd. and Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque. Pall Bearers will be Tyler Brand, Lawrence Martinez, Gary Martinez, Randy Sanchez, David Sanchez, and Ronald Sanchez. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Leonard Martinez-Metzgar and Carlo Sanchez.
