ALFRED RALPH Age 69, a resident of Corrales, NM, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Karla J. Vendegna; daughters, Kerry Elich and husband, Jesse of Albuquerque, Amber Le and husband, Philip of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Alexandra, Karissa, Caitlin, and Braydon; sister, Barbara Weaver and husband, Lincoln of Olympia, WA; nephews, Aaron Weaver and wife, Megan of Olympia, WA and Nathan Weaver of Olympia, WA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Alfred was preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Luft Vendegna and father, Ralph Vendegna. Since 1973, Al has made numerous and substantial contributions to the preservation of the history, the arts and spirit of the Native American culture. His passion and love for these traditions led to his creation of West of Santa Fe. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at French ~ Westside Chapel.
