MARCIA MCGILLAN Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on the 27th of September 2011, in San Antonio, Texas. Born Marcia Ann McGillan on March 7, 1939, in Pasadena, California to Edward"Mac" McGillan and Elizabeth "Terry" McGillan. She was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from Highland High School in 1957. Marcia went on to study at the University of Colorado where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. In 1958, she was featured in Parade Magazine as one of the most beautiful college freshman on the University of Colorado campus. Marcia lived in Houston, Texas, where she was an active member of the Houston Junior Forum where she appeared in many of their stage productions at Jones Hall. Marcia pursued her passion for travel by working in the travel industry for over 30 years and retired from American Express Travel in 2002. During that time she visited six continents and numerous countries. After retiring she enrolled in art classes at the University of Houston and later took classes at the University of Texas in Austin. Wherever she was, Marcia touched the lives of those around her with her smile, infectious laugh, and deep interest in the lives of others. Marcia is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jim Hulick, who cared for her for nine years after her stroke. She is survived by her sons, David Cummings III and wife, Lisa, Scott Cummings and his wife, Gretchen, and Clint Cummings and his wife, Kathi, along with her eight grandchildren who lovingly called her "Mackie". She is also survived by her sister Jeanne Brummell and her husband, "Gig" and their two children, Linley Daly and Craig Brummell and their respective families. The Memorial Mass was held on October 4th at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas.
