Obituary for BAZINET

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday October 09, 2011

NORMAN L. Age 84, passed away October 3, 2011. He was born in Natick, MA in 1927, the only son of Germaine Boisvert and Louis Bazinet. He is survived by his wife, Dian and his son, Jason. Norman was proud to have served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He came to Albuquerque in 1951 with the US Air Force. After he left the service, he stayed in Albuquerque because he fell in love with the state. He enjoyed the open spaces, big skies and arid climate. Although his formal education was limited, he had a good sense of human nature and possessed sound business judgment. Over the years, he started several small businesses and was a successful real estate investor. He retired in 1980. He had no formal hobbies, but enjoyed attending UNM basketball games, having lunch with his friends at "The Table" and taking long drives with his wife across New Mexico. His friends and his family enjoyed his stories, his sense of humor and his quick wit. In lieu of flowers, Norman would probably have preferred that his friends just keep their money. The Bazinet family will receive guests at their home on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
