PHILIP Was born August 18, 1924 in Billings, Montana. He passed away in Santa Fe on September 22, 2011. After graduating from Billings High School he enrolled in college at Montana State University, Bozeman, Montana. He was able to survive his freshman year but was drafted into the service in June 1943. His military experience was spent with the 10th Mountain Division. He spent time in Italy, and when the war ended he returned to Montana State where he graduated with a degree in engineering in 1949. He married his college sweetheart, Pam, on September 6, 1947. Together they had four daughters. Their marriage lasted 63 years until Pam's death in February 2011. Phil worked for IBM for thirty years. He started as an engineer but over the years his job changed several times. He spent time in sales, marketing and ended his career in the legal department. IBM was very fond of moving people around; so all four daughters were born in different states, and the Lunday family was able to experience many different areas of the United States. Upon retirement Phil moved to Santa Fe from Los Angeles. He lived in Santa Fe for almost 30 years and enjoyed it tremendously. He loved skiing, golf and gardening. He also was active in several volunteer groups including SCORE, 10th Mountain Division, and the Santa Fe Ski Association. Philip was preceded in death by a brother, George; a sister, Anne; a son-in-law, Charles; and his wife, Pam.
