ROSANNE COOPER 81, died July 7, 2011 in Carlsbad, CA. She was a devoted wife to the late John R. Charles of Lancaster, PA and a beloved mother to her surviving children, Douglas C. of Lancaster, PA, Philip M. of Lomita, CA, David R. of Grapevine, TX, and Valerie Smith of Vista, CA. She is survived by one sister, Clare Cooper Wilson of Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Lancaster, PA and was a sister of the late C. Joseph Cooper of Albuquerque, NM, and daughter of the late Charles J. and Mildred Blum Cooper. She is survived by five grandchildren. "Rose" was active in her church, St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church of Albuquerque, NM, from 1985 - 2006 when she moved to Carlsbad, CA. Prior to that, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Lancaster, PA for many years. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 15 years, she prepared food for St. Martin's Hospitality House each month and whenever asked. She volunteered as a patient transporter at UNM Hospital. Rose loved helping others and recognized those in need of food, clothing, transportation, and a place to stay temporarily. She wanted to keep her life full and rewarding. Everyone who knew Rose loved her, and we'll miss her very much. Memorial service for Rosanne will be at St Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church in Albuquerque, NM on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. Reception to follow.
