WANONA D. Age 70, of Albuquerque and formerly of Amarillo died Sunday, September 18, 2011, in Albuquerque, N.M. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Davey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 Coulter St. Wanona Dodson Garris was born Jan. 2, 1941, in Matador to Martin Lynnville Dodson and Ellen Nadine Brock. She attended schools in Amarillo, graduating from Palo Duro High in 1959. Wanona was a member of First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque. Survivors include two daughters, Danice Clounch Riddle and husband Gary and Teresa "Chris" Clounch Heard and husband Zane, both of Albuquerque; a son, Robert Dean Noland of Albuquerque; three grandchildren, Wesley Riddle of Seattle, and Sydney and Leah Henry, both of Albuquerque; and aunt and uncle, Lonnie and Avis Brock of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to The American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W, Suite 800, Washington D.C. 20004.
