REGINALD FRANKLIN SR. 80, born in Accord, MA, recently of Bedias, TX, formerly of Stonewall, CO, and Albuquerque, NM, passed away on September 12, 2011, at College Station, TX. Reggie was a Korean War Veteran and 24 year retired Master Sergeant; U.S. Air Force, serving between the U.S. and Europe. Also, a member of the Masonic Order with Lodges in LA, CO and NM, a Sentinel in the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the American Legion Post 49, Albuq., NM. Reggie followed three of his brothers into military retirement in Albuq., NM, and had a longtime career with Pepsi Cola while making many friends throughout the city with his hardworking and affable personality. Reggie also worked for Coca Cola Company and was a co-owner of RC Cola. More serious retirement took Reggie to Stonewall, CO and eventually to Bedias, TX where he enjoyed working privately and for Brookshire Brothers Grocery in Navasota, TX. Husband of Bernadene (nee Baker) and previously of the late Anna W. (nee Fernando); loving father of Reginald Franklin Tibbetts (wife Margret), Regina Ann Melbourne (husband Ralph) and Sandi-Lin Chavez (husband Tony). Proud grandfather of Tiffany Tibbetts Pegues (husband Clarence), Krystal Renee Gaffney (husband Jason), RuthAnn Elizabeth Tibbetts, Ralph Christopher Melbourne, John Franklin Melbourne, TJ Chavez, Dustin Chavez and two great grandchildren, Addison Riley Gaffney and newborn Kendall Elizabeth Peques. Reggie was preceded in death by his parents, Vera Emily and Robert Eugene Tibbetts, and six siblings, George, US Navy (Barbara), Kenneth Wallace, USAF (Billie), Robert "Bud" Otis, US Army (Ethel), Vernon Eugene USAF (Sally), Vera Louise Infusino (Frank), and Geraldine McCarvell( (John). Reggie will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws and friends. Please contribute to your favorite charity (Medical or Military) in his memory. Cremation to occur; and a service to be held at the Cathedral of St. John, 318 Silver S.W., Albuquerque, NM at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011. Interment will be private. Care has been entrusted to Day Funeral Home in TX and Daniels Family Funeral Services, Albuquerque.
