Obituary for RUTH

HENRY EARL Age 88, passed away September 11, 2011. He is survived by his children, Anthony A. Ayala, Irene M. Palmer and husband, Donn, Julia Henson and husband, Don, Stephanie Ayala and Stephen Ayala and wife, Karen; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; many other family and friends. Mr. Ruth was preceded in death by his wife, Mary who was born in England and he met in El Paso. He was a graduate of Austin High School in El Paso. Mr. Ruth served our country in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre. He later received his degree in Electrical Engineering in 1950 from New Mexico State University (Mines and Agriculture). Mr. Ruth worked for the NASA Space Program at New Mexico State University and took the first prototype photos of the MIRS, a multiple warhead program. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding horseback - even participating in round-ups. He made homemade wine, and was gifted at tinkering with cars and motorcycles and was a licensed gunsmith and member of the NRA.
