SUZANNA VELARDE Age 83, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2011 at home in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents Jacobo and Ascension Velarde; her brother Manuel Velarde; a niece Susan Ortega; and a nephew Lawrence Velarde. She was born on May 24, 1928 in San Juan, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband Jose (Red) Roybal; daughters Liz, Lucille, and Carmen Roybal; sister Mary and husband Eddie Gallegos and family; sister Frances Duran and family; sister Lucy and husband Robert Ortega and family; and brothers Delano Velarde and Jimmy Velarde. Rosary will be Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. with Mass on Monday September 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be at the Mission at San Jose in Los Duranes. Directions are North on Rio Grande 1 mile, West on Zickert (one block North of Indian School Road), North on Los Luceros. 2100 Los Luceros Rd. NW.
