JOHN NICHOLAS Age 88 passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 14, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Eleanore (Ellie); brother Robert (Bob); sons John, Alfred, Robert, Thomas and Donald; daughter Laura; grandchildren Bonnie, John, Justin, Brenda, Richard, Elizabeth, and John; great-grandchildren John, Kaili, Kierrin, Cody, Conner, Max, Miles, Chloe and his beloved Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret; brothers William and Michael; son Kenneth; daughter Elizabeth. Jack Leavitt worked at Los Alamos Alamos Labs until his retirement in 1989. He moved to Rio Rancho where he continued to enjoy family, friends and his passion for radio controlled model airplanes, gardening, photography and astronomy. Services will be held on September 17th 6:00 pm at Calvary Lutheran Church, 305 Unser St, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
