EVELYN POWDRELL Evelyn (Big Twin) was born on June 15, 1946 in Crosbyton Texas. Evelyn passed away on August 19, 2011 in Chicago Illinois. Evelyn was the fourth child of Pete and Catherine Powdrell and a twin. The family migrated to Albuquerque, NM in 1958. Evelyn graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1965 where she made NM all-state choir all four years. Evelyn was known for her deep, powerful,and soulful voice. A Celebration in Music in memory of Evelyn will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Phillips Chapel CME Church located at 1401 Edith Blvd SE, Alb., NM.
