DAN COLE Age 80, was a resident of Albuquerque, NM since May 2011 and a lifelong resident of Quay County. Dan passed away at home on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. He was born in Solano, NM and graduated from Springer High School in 1950. Dan was a true cowboy who loved the western way of life and spent his life working ranches across New Mexico. Dan enjoyed raising his dogs, restoring classic cars, and collecting antiques. Most of all, Dan enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren. If you asked Dan what was the most important part of life, he would always say family. Dan (Papa) will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte, of 35 years; daughters, Patricia Jackson, Dana Reed (Alan), Mary Liles, Robin Smith (Jarrell), Vicki Feerer, Danelle Earle (Leland); 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; sister, Merle Kercheville; and brothers, Gene and Carl Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters. A Celebration of Dan's Life will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011, 4:00 p.m., at French-Lomas Chapel.
