Obituary for GORDON

LEON M. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Born in Kansas City, MO, he was 85 years old and a resident of Albuquerque, NM for 55 years. He served in the Navy during World War II on the USS Caney in the South Pacific. He enjoyed workouts at the gym, volunteering at the Humane Society and Oil Painting. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marilyn Gordon; son, Steve Gordon; daughters, Theresa and Georgia Gordon; daughter-in-law, Louise Gordon; five grandchildren, Ian, Van and Candace Gordon, and Tyson and Adam Nemudrov; and seven great-grandchildren, all of Albuquerque, NM. He loved his family and cat, Josie, and will be missed by all. A small memorial reception will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at French - Lomas Location.
