EVELYN JANE Evelyn Jane Mowrer, known to those who loved her as Grammy Jane, the best grandma ever, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the age of 87. She was born in Decatur, IN on August 24, 1923. She is survived by her husband, Frederick M. Mowrer Sr. (age 91); sons, Steven M. Mowrer and wife, Billie and Frederick M. Mowrer, Jr. and wife, Lisa; daughter, Lisa L. Owen; grandchildren: Courtney Mowrer, Chad Garrison, Jessie Mowrer, Julie Garrison and fiance Paul Cervantes, Colton Mowrer, Chelsea O'Neil and husband, Shane, Rachael Hedgcoth and husband, Michael, A.J. Mowrer and wife, Kelly, Jake Mowrer and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Austin and Evan Hedgcoth, Drew, Ainsley, Zachary, Dylan and Michael Mowrer. Evelyn was a very special person who touched her family in many different ways from taking her grandchildren to the zoo and movie theaters on weekends to caring for and loving all of her children and grandchildren. This woman was the rock of our whole family. She was there for all of us in time of need and we were blessed to have her in our lives. She will be greatly missed but endeared in our hearts forever.
