Obituary for KAESBERG

MICHAEL Chief Michael Dominic Kaesberg, known to his high school buddies as "Alaska" also known as "Chief" and "Big Cat", 38 years old was called Home by Our Lord on August 9, 2011 in Pensacola, Florida where he was taking special training to be reassigned to the CAG 11 who were to be attached to the USS Nimitz. He completed over 19 years of service in the Navy. He is survived by his wife, Irene; and his stepchildren, Kayla, Jenna and Jacob from Corpus Christi, Texas. He is also survived by his children, Melanie and Matthew Kaesberg and grandson, Aiden, all from San Antonio. Also surviving Michael are his mother, Juanita Orona; his father, Randy Kaesberg Sr.; his brother, Randy; sisters, Andrea and Alicia; several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Michael enjoyed life to the fullest, always laughing, and had the most beautiful smile! He had three loves: Love of God, Love of Family and Love of Country. A visitation will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy to follow at The Shrine of St. Bernadette on Thursday, August 18, 2011, 6:00 p.m., 11401 Indian School Rd. NE. Mass of the Resurrection will be at the Shrine of St. Bernadette on Friday, August 19, 2011, 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Chiefs of the U.S. Navy. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Fowler Sr., Kenny Fowler Jr., Tony Carrillo, Martin Carrillo, Tito Benavidez, Patrick Benavidez, Chuck Baglo, Antonio Carrillo and Aiden Kaesberg.
