Obituary for TYE

JOHN DELBERT Age 72, born in Raton, died Monday, July 11, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann; daughter, Judy Sultzer and her children, Benjamin, Jonathan, Anastasia, and William; son, James Tye and wife, Suzanne and their children, Seth, Jacob, and Daniel; son, Joshua Tye and wife, Megan and their son, Royce; step-son, Jim Clark and wife, Jamie; sisters, Viberta Briggs, Ethyl Wright and husband Henry, and Alice Short and husband, Sam; and many other family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, Vibart Burl and Myrtle Viola Tye, and son, John W. Tye. After high school John enlisted in the US Navy where he honorably served on an aircraft carrier. Mr. Tye earned a bachelor's degree and was a Plumber by trade. He retired from GE Jet Engine Group after approximately 30 years of service. Funeral services will be Monday, July 25, 2011, at 11:00 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ventana Chapel, 7100 Woodmount Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, with interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
