LOIS MARTIN Age 85, a longtime resident of Albuquerque died on Saturday, July 16, 2011. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Mayer of Albuquerque, and Margaret Silins of Plantation, FL; her grandson, Christopher Silins, also of Plantation, FL; her sister-in-law, Margaret McReynolds of Albuquerque; and eight nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mayer was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mayer; her sister, Sarah Alderman; her sister-in-law, Maxine Dawes; brothers-in-law, Donald Alderman, Orton McReynolds, and Herbert Gandee. Lois was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling with her family. A private family service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011, with Bill Dorman officiating. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French - Lomas Chapel on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a flowering shrub or tree be planted in her memory in a favorite garden.
