RUBEN H. is a man who will be remembered by many as a distinguished public servant, a caring son, a loving husband and partner, a devoted father and a constant source of inspiration and joy. He was all of this and more during the 56 plentiful years he spent in this world before transcending the pain of cancer to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. He touched a number of lives, most notably during his career in law enforcement which included 27 years with the Albuquerque Police Department earning the role of Deputy Chief of Police as well as HIDTA board membership, Isleta Police Department Chief, and the DOE NNSA Personnel Security. He believed in living life to its fullest and did this himself through travel, golf, and singing in his church choir. He is survived by his sons, James-Vincent and Marcus Davalos; brothers, Mario and Christopher Davalos; Marsha Davalos; Rebecca Davalos; and countless family and friends.
