KATE Age 86, went to be with the Lord peacefully on June 5th, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving husband and children. Born in Bernalillo and resident of Santa Fe, NM, Kate will be forever remembered for her kind, generous heart and beautiful smile. Her gift for welcoming all into her home and heart will be engraved in our hearts forever. Preceded by her parents Emiliano and Luz Lucero, her son Patrick, grandsons Diego and Robbie Miera. Kate is survived by her husband of 65 years Manuel Miera; children Rick (Diane), Wilbert, Yolanda, Robert (Jessica), Kenny (MaryJane) Miera, Rita (David) Sena and Velda (Ralph) Romero; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; nephew Tito Salazar and many nieces. Pallbearers: Rick, Reymond, Damian, John Paul Miera, David E. Griego and Dominique Batten. Honorary pallbearers: David and Matthew Sena, Ralph Romero, David Pina, PJ, Ryan, Natasha, Zonnie, Lia Miera and Justin Quintana Miera, John Shrum and Jack Herrera. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Algodones, NM Cemetery with reception following at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anne's Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carmelite Nuns of Santa Fe.
