RUSSELL LAMAR Age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday May 27, 2011. He was born on November 25, 1926 in Livingston, TX to Charles Nugent and Violet Dowden Stone. Russ leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Bonnie Lou Stone. He was the dad of Charles L. Stone; step-dad of Robert Bird and Vickie Paugh; granddad to five; and great-granddad to nine. Russ served his country in the Army Air Force as a printer and continued that trade as a civilian for most of his life. He spent 20 years at the Albuquerque Journal. He was a Christian, by faith, and also was very involved in his church until later years. After retirement he loved to camp and help others anyway that he could. Russ was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Services were held at French-Lomas Chapel on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Tim Maxwell. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
