Gertrude Irene Harris, age 95,passed away quietly with her family around her after a brief illness. Gertrude formerly of San Antonio, New Mexico was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Socorro. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Ollie Duncan; her husband Dennis Harris Sr.; two grandsons, Steve Bean and Kenneth Edward West, son-in-law Joe Bean& two brothers Bill & Lonnie Duncan. She is survived by children, Pat (Homer) West of St. Charles, AR, Carolyn Bean of Mesa, AZ and Dennis (Margene) Harris of San Antonio, NM; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great- grandchildren. Memorial Service is Saturday, May 28,2011 at 2:00 p.m. First Baptist Church 203 Spring St., Socorro, NM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to NM Baptist Children's Home, PO Box 629, Portales, NM 88130; or to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656.
