Obituary for BRAY

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday May 15, 2011

Patricia H. On April 26, 2011, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, the beautiful, generous soul of Patricia Dianne Hall Bray left her family and friends behind on this mortal plane. One of Pat's favorite songs has the line "I'll be waiting on the far side bank of Jordan," and we truly believe she will be. Pat was born on February 17, 1942, in Houston, Texas to Dr. William F. and Anna Lee Hall. She grew up in Houston and El Paso, Texas, was married in El Paso and moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1977. She was a marvelous mother, wife and homemaker. Her interests included travel, reading, antiques and collectibles, drawing and painting, writing prose and poetry, quilting, crochet, needlework. One of her greatest joys was music- singing with her church choir and musical groups, with friends around a campfire and with her husband playing the guitar, especially old country and folk songs and hymns. She will be lovingly remembered by many friends and her family, including her husband of fifty years, Richard Bray; daughter, Melinda Dolan and husband, Terry; son, Jon Bray and wife, Mindy; grandchildren, Ella and Joseph Dolan; brother-in-law, Duane Bray and wife Beth; and her beloved mother-in-law, Krotona Bray. Pat's life will be celebrated on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at 3:00 PM, at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St., Albuquerque, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Appalachian Fund, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), or the St. John's UMC Music Program.
