Preciliana Christilaw 83, joined her Lord on April 29, 2011. Born March 12, 1928 in Cuba, New Mexico. She was an educator in Jemez Valley Public Schools for 45years. She touched the lives of hundreds of her students and was a pillar of strength and inspiration for the entire community. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and son Steve. She is survived by her son, Edwin G. Christilaw and wife Bernice; daughter, Barbara Trujillo; two sisters, Antonia Chavez and Albertina Carabajal and husband Gilbert; six grandchildren, Nick Christilaw, Philip Christilaw, Ariana Christilaw, Adam Trujillo, Adrian Trujillo and Amy Trujillo; fourteen great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:00am at San Ysidro Catholic Church with a mass to follow at 11:00am. Interment is to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Trujillo, Adrian Trujillo, Nick Christilaw, Philip Christilaw, Lawrence Chavez, Rick Paiz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ben Baca Jr., Ray Carabajal, Mike Trujillo, Davy Lovato and Steven Paiz. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to San Diego Mission Building Fund.
