Felix M. Torrez, Jr. age 68, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away, Friday, April 22, 2011. He was born in Grants, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Felix was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and of Los Guadalupanos. He was active in the Curcillo movement. Felix served our country in the Unites States Army. Felix was the founder of the Ristra Band as well as Los Musicos de Cristo Band. Felix enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Manuela Torrez; brother, Luther Torrez; and sister, Margaret Moya. Felix is survived by his loving wife, Odelia Torrez; his children, John Torrez and wife Tina and Cecilia Torrez and Leon Lucero; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Rubio and Nancy Saiz; and his brother, Charles Torrez, Sr.; and other numerous relatives and friends. Felix will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Final viewing will be Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Daniels Family Alameda Mortuary. Service of Christian Burial will be Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, on Edith between Ranchitos and Los Ranchos. Pallbearers will be Charles Torrez, Jr., Julian Torrez, Eric Torrez, Marty Martinez, David Trujillo, and Harold Moya, Jr. Honorary Bearers will be Chris Garcia, Jr. and Matthew Andersen.
