Karen J. VanDenburg, age 73, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. Karen is survived by her husband, Paul of 53 years; children, Paul, Jason, and Julia VanDenburg; sisters, Colleen Jester, Veronica Barnfield, Yvonne Ekiss and their families; brothers, Berkely Heiland, Billy Heiland, and Kerwin Heiland and their families. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Heiland; mother, Blanche; and brother, Shelley Heiland. She was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church and will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Tuesday, April 26, 2011, visitation at 9:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m. with interment following. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice.
