Obituary for SPRINGER

Thomas David (Dave) Springer, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday April 18, 2011. He was born August 24, 1945 in Yazoo, Mississippi to Elvis and Hilda Springer. He is survived by wife Elizabeth (Bella) Springer, mother Hilda Wells, brother Thomas Wells (Shana), daughters Sheryl Trail (Cord), and Stacie St. John, and two grandchildren Austin St. John and Amaya Trail. He is also survived by mother-in-law Ramona Sanchez, sisters-in-laws; Fila Diaz, Liz Martinez, Nora Sanchez-Ortega and Mildred Archuleta, brother in laws; Victor and Clyde Martinez, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Dave served four years in the U.S Armed Services, which included a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. He was in the car business for over 35 years in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Seattle Washington. He was currently a partner of ISTI Inc. He also was an avid golfer and bowler. His passion for golf resulted in many competitions and awards. His one of a kind character and sense of humor was cherished by many, and he will be missed. A public visitation will be held on Monday April 25th, 2011 from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary 6:00 p.m. at French's Family Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26th, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at The Shrine of Saint Bernadette, located at 11401 Indian School Road NE, in Albuquerque, followed by Interment at 3:00 p.m. at the Veterans National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
