Joseph Franklin Dobberteen, 88, passed away 4-21-2011. Joe was a blessing to anyone who crossed his path. He is survived by his wife, Alice, of 56 years, two daughters, Leslie (Dave)Newcomb and Lauren Merritt and several nieces and nephews. Joe was a Bombardier / Navigator in WWII and a graduate of Michigan State University. The Dobberteen family wishes to thank the Albuquerque VA Hospital Dr's. and nurses, Hospice de la Luz, and CareGivers of Albuquerque: Ottawa House. Care has been entrusted to Riverside Funeral Home and Hackman Family Funeral Homes, Sturgis, Michigan. A service will be held this summer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis, Michigan.
