Obituary for CASEY

Edwin "Ed" S. Casey, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in his home after a short illness. Ed is survived by daughter, Karen Granger and numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and special friends. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Altha J. Casey, parents, Wiley and Bessie Casey, brother, J. Frank Casey and son, Mark Casey. Ed was born on November 13, 1922 in El Paso, Texas. He served as a Naval Aviator in WWII. Ed retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company in 1975 after 34 years of employment. Ed volunteered more than 4000 hours at the Kaseman Presbyterian Emergency Room. Ed's family would like to thank the staff at Alliance and Advantage Healthcare and Hospice and Albuquerque Grand for their loving care. Friends may visit French Mortuary University Chapel, 1111 University Boulevard, beginning at 9:00a.m. Monday, April 25, 2011. Funeral service will follow at 10:00am. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ed's memory to the Presbyterian Hospital Volunteer Auxillary, 1100 Central Ave, Albuquerque, NM 87106.
