John Edward Landis, age 84, passed away in Wichita Falls, Texas on Thursday, April 7, 2011. John faithfully served his country as a US Air Force fighter pilot for more than 20 years, having served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, Silver Star, and seven air metals amongst others. He is survived by one son, Ward Landis of Rio Rancho; and one daughter, Donna Yeager also of Rio Rancho. John also is survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The services will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:15 PM.
