Emmitt, longtime resident of Albuquerque, died on April 8, 2011. He lived in Oklahoma for the last 10 years. He is survived by daughters, Mary Hancock (Robert) of Oklahoma City, OK, Ruth Ann Hilton (Rick), Weatherford, TX, Debbie Montoya (Carl), Brownsville, TX, Patricia Cortes (Gus), Bedford, TX, Carol Smith of Gainsville, FL, Jeannie Mejia of Denver, CO, Patricia Burrows, Louisville, KY; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Fran Canham and husband John of Tijeras, NM. Services were held on April 13, 2011 in Oklahoma.
