Rodney Orville Craig, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, peacefully passed away in his sleep Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Gwen, of Albuquerque: children, Lynn Cerelle Trost and husband, Larry, of Edgewood, NM; Ted Craig, of Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren, Heather Trost and fiancee Jeremy Barnes, of the Del Rio/Vecinos del Bosque communities, Sam Trost and wife, Hannah, and their child Vivian, of Idaho Falls, ID, and Brenda Trost and Helen Claire Trost, of Edgewood; sisters, Roberta (Bobby) Murray of Estancia, NM, and Pattie Apostolides of El Paso, TX. Rodney was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958-1960. He was a police officer for El Paso, TX, and Phoenix, AZ, from 1960 to 1964. In Goodyear, AZ, in 1968, he and his friend, Alex Brown, opened their own print shop. One of the things they created was a beautiful brochure for the State Fair. He was also proud of being a bus driver for forest firefighters in the summer of 2006. He enjoyed very much his current job as a bus driver for the City of Albuquerque. Services will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 11:00 AM at the Haines Ward chapel at 5709 Haines Ave., Albuquerque. Friends may pay last respects at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas NE, Tuesday, April 19th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Please visit our online guestbook for Rodney at RememberTheirStory.com
