Terry E. Maher, born in Washington, D.C. 10/30/34 and passed away 02/24/11 in Albuquerque, NM. Beloved husband of Margo; loving father of Sherrie, Clarke, Wiley and Peachie; GrandTerry to Krista, Michelle, Kasey, Kathryn, Wiley2 and Kristen; great-GrandTerry to Bright Star Lily Noel, Delaney Ann and Liam; proud brother to Patsy, favored Uncle to Jill, Eric, Michael and Rickey. Terry's distinguished career took him from D.C. to Georgia to Florida to New Mexico. Along the way, he spent more than 20 years with Searle as a record-setting pharmaceutical sales District Rep; more than 20 years as an equipment lease broker; jackpot casino rep.; NM tour guide and car shuttle/driver. Terry's well-lived life included two previous much-loved wives, Shirley and Bonnie, who both preceded him in death. Terry was immediately liked and respected by all he met. He enjoyed a good game of golf and amazed duffers with his ambidextrous abilities. Terry always had a kind word and helping hand for all, was known for wearing shorts year'round, believed in always being prepared and made sure we were also. We appreciated his deep love and knowledge of world history and geography. He was a WWII buff, enjoyed a great trip to Ireland with family, served as our bocce ball leader and was a master of the grill. His bright spirit, quick smile and gentleness is greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the angels at Vista Care Hospice for their special care of Terry and our family. There will be an Irish Wake held for Terry April 10 1:00-5:00 at Capo's Restaurant, 722 Lomas Blvd. Donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
