Robert Blaine Eatinger was born May 13, 1927 in Lyons, Kansas. In 1949, after graduating from Denver University he moved to Albuquerque and was employed by Albuquerque Public Schools. He was a dedicated teacher and principal for 43 years, receiving top awards as Outstanding Teacher of The Year. Robert was a deeply intellectual man who enjoyed the theater, travel, cooking, gardening, fast cars, and friends. After a lengthy illness, he died on March 28, 2011. He is survived by his brother, John Eatinger and wife, Mollie; a loving niece, Melissa Pickett and husband, Lee; great-nephews, Chris Balkcom and Ben Balkcom.
