John Austin Nickle Jr. passed away in his home on Friday, March 25, 2011. He was born on October 19, 1929 in Chicago, son of John Austin Nickle Sr. and Nina Louisella Noyer Nickle. He was a USAF Veteran of the Korea and Vietnam wars. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Arlena Carden Nickle; children, John A. III (Mary DeHart), Jan Nickle Dunlap (Bruce), James A. Nickle (Lucy Angel) and Joel Nickle; grandchildren, Rusty Dunlap, Robby Dunlap, Arlena Nickle, Diana Nickle, Austin Nickle (John A. IV), Rhianna, Alison, Sarah and Kate Diem as well as six great-grandchildren. The family is having a private memorial.
