Leatrice Joy Peterson In loving memory of Leatrice Joy Peterson, 80 years old. She was born 10/14/1930 at home in Clay County, Kansas. She joined our father in heaven on 03/13/2011. She has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Florence Empson, four brothers, Geuane, Larry, Keith and Marion, and sister, Melva. She is survived by her son, Daniel Wray Peterson; grandson, Josh; granddaughter, Jillian of San Jose,California; two brothers, Bob Empson of Missouri and Rex Empson of Oklahoma; her sister, Carol Gragg of Missouri; nieces and nephews; and many loving friends. She will be missed for her tenacity, determination and her giving spirit and by those around her that called her "mom". Services will be held on April 1, 2011, 11:00 AM at Sambro Del Monte Church, 2525 Vermont NE. she will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE
