Catherine Sedgwick Colbert, 92, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, died on March 23, 2011 in Lexington, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norvel Allen Colbert, her parents, Francis Joseph and Anna Decker Sedgwick, and her sisters, Cora Mae Sedgwick and Shirley Dean Dempsey. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Schaab of Albuquerque, and Linda Neill and her husband, John, of Lexington; five grandchildren, Gail Cadwallader and husband, Paul LeVeque of Lexington, Thomas Cadwallader and wife, Carla of Versailles, Judi Jones of Bryantsville, Gregory Burd and wife, Francesca Gino of Cambridge, MA, Anna Burd of Albuquerque, and two great-grandchildren, Grant and Catherine Cadwallader of Versailles. Mrs. Colbert was born August 27, 1918 in Maywood, Illinois and attended Northern Illinois University. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 28, 11:00 am at Christ Church Cathedral followed by committal at Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions suggested to Christ Church Cathedral or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
