Maria, age 74, a resident of Albuquerque, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 to go home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. She was born in Torreon, N.M. Everything will be missed about this wonderful woman, she will never be forgotten. We all love you! She was preceded in death by her three sons, Rick, Frank and Chris Sanchez. Maria is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Adolfo Bernal; one sister, Margarita Griego; sons, Michael Sanchez and wife, Cristine, Steve Sanchez, Gene Sanchez and wife, Vidala and Joseph Sanchez and wife, Sandy; one daughter, Grace Sanchez; 12 loving grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, at 9:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Richard and Stephen Gonzales, Bill Sena, E.J. and Chris Sanchez and Paul Valdez. Honorary pallbearer will be Joseph Candalaria.
