Edith H. Grant, 91, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Formerly of Tarrytown, NY, she was a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 40 years. Edie was born on October 1, 1919 in Bremen, Germany to Richard C. and Anna (Sanders) Hagemann. She retired in Tarrytown, NY as an executive secretary of a bank. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, John A. Grant. She is survived by her devoted children, Richard J. Grant and wife, Kathy of West Palm, Fl, Kenneth R. Grant and wife, Ceci of Rio Rancho; and Russell J. Grant and wife, Nancy of Deland, Fl; her loving grandchildren, Lindsay Grant, Karin Achenbach, Kim Ingerson and her husband, Jay, and Christopher Grant and his wife, Martina; great-grandchildren, Alex, Andrew and Aiden Achenbach, Griffin and Hope Ingerson, and Madison and Kennedy Grant. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 13, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 2701 American Road SE, Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers, Edie requested donations be made in her name to The Ranches, 6209 Hendrix Road NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87110.
