She was an Albuquerque native, born Margaret Cecilia Smith November 17, 1934. She earned her degree in education at UNM where she was in Pi Beta Phi. Celia devoted her life to her husband and children, making a home for her family. She will be remembered by scores of now grown men and women for whom she made baby quilts. She also enjoyed crafting greeting cards with delightful illustrations. We all will remember her for her anecdotes and humor. Celia cherished her neighborhood friends and those from school, Dick's colleagues, garden club, Altar Guild, Tuesday Literary Club, and the luncheons with the DeLovelies and Lobo Ladies. She loved you and appreciated all you have done for her and Dick. There will be a private burial followed by Celia's funeral service to be held at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John, 318 Silver Ave SW, on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the church.
