Martha Ann Torres, age 46, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was born on December 7, 1964 to Hernandez and Ramona Torres. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque's South Valley and graduated from Rio Grande High School in 1982. Her love for cooking will never be forgotten. After receiving her culinary arts degree from TVI, she pursued a career at the Presbyterian Food Services Dept. for over 11 years. Martha is survived by her parents, Hernandez and Ramona Torres, her son John Perea Jr., her daughter Mona Torres and her granddaughter Dyamond Perea. Her companion Gene Braun and their dog Steeler are going to miss her dearly. Also surviving her are her twin sister, Teresa Torres and her children Jakob and Jaclyn; her brother, Joseph Mascarena and fiance Yvette and their children Joey and Brittany; and her sister Anna Trujillo and husband Pete and their children Briana and Marianita. She's also survived by many relatives and friends. Services for Martha will be a rosary on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Riverside Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. at 225 San Mateo NE, with viewing from 2:00 p.m. until time of rosary. Mass of resurrection will be Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Edwin Roman Catholic Church at 2105 Barcelona SW with Rev. William Sanchez.
