Mike, born July 24, 1930, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, February 24, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born in Sabinoso, NM, to Sacramento Baca and Annie Lujan Baca. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemarie. His children are Mike II and wife, Cynthia, Dominic and wife, Gina, and Monica Barreras and husband, Lawrence. His grandsons are Mike Baca III, Dominic Baca II, and his granddaughters are Rozlynne, Chantelle, Rochelle, Jasmine and Victoria. His two great-grandchildren are Biancha and Santino. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Sacramento and Annie Lujan Baca; his brothers, Charley and Leroy; his father and mother-in-law, Dominic and Lolly Blasi; sisters-in-law Annie Baca and Billie Baca; brothers-in-law, August Linbrugger and Lazaro Martinez. He is survived by his brothers, Secundino, Robert, Gilbert and wife Carolyn, Sacramento and wife, Bertha Rose, John and wife, Pam; his sisters, Eloisa Esquibel and husband, Albert, Helen Saccoman, Irene Linbrugger, Emma Gonzales and husband, Leo, Bertha Martinez, and Esther Self; his sisters-in-law, Margaret Baca, Geraldine Baca and numerous other relatives and friends. Mike was a veteran who served in the Korean War, and he was also a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a retired industrial chemical salesman for Bidall Corp. He belonged to the Victory Hills Neighborhood Assoc. and enjoyed gardening, doing word search puzzles, and watching sports on TV, but most of all loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed being in the company of his cat, Boyser. All services will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl SE, beginning with visitation on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., with full military honors. Thanks to the wonderful help, day and night, from family, neighbors and friends. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
