Obituary for GREENBERG

Hadassah Willow Estelle Greenberg, went home to be with her Lord on February 8, 2011. Born in NYC in 1941, she was preceded in death by her Russian immigrant parents, Morris Greenberg and Sonia Farber Greenberg. She was educated at UCLA receiving a bachelor's in Social Work. During ten years of living on the central coast of California, she was active in many social justice causes for farm workers, homeless, the mentally challenged, welfare moms and international struggles for self-determination. She moved to Albuquerque in 1992 and became a Jewish believer in Yeshua thereafter and reconnected with her Jewish roots while maintaining her faith in Yeshua as Messiah. Willow was an active member of the messianic community for 15 years. She became a committed student of the Bible, its original language, her Jewish heritage and a lover of the Land of Israel to which she traveled five times. She was open and loving to friends and empathetic to distressed strangers. She was by many friends' accounts, a world-class giver of hugs! A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Grant Chapel AME, 7920 Claremont Ave NE, followed by a reception. Memorial donations may be made to VistaCare Hospice or charitable organizations in the land of Israel.
