Betty Jo Garrison, 76, died January 30, 2011. She is survived by her son, Max Moore; daughters, Stephanie Blackburn-Jorgensen and husband Gordon, Renee Cunningham; grandchildren, Breanne, Randi, Kristina; and her great-grandson, Malaki and several other family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Adams; and her brothers, David and Paul Adams. Mrs. Garrison was strong, independent and hard working. She loved and was devoted to her family and was very fond of her working family, especially at Baillio's. Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, especially sewing and knitting. She was an avid Lobo fan, enjoyed many sports and even played softball, pool and was a good bowler. Her family would like to express a special thanks to Jack and Peggy Baillio, Steve Raines and many others she worked with who were faithful to visit her, even after she retired, also Dr. Mark Langsfeld and Jessica Knight and the entire Vascular Clinic staff at University of New Mexico Hospital, for their tender care and compassion during her surgeries and recuperation. They would also like to thank the caregivers at St. Catherine's especially Suzi, Tami Jo, Marcia, Candace and Manny and also Hospice of the Sandias. It was Betty Jo's wish that no memorial service be held but that all her family and friends would remember her by stopping to smell the roses. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, New Mexico Chapter, 5801 Osuna NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
